Mold Inspection For Bergen County NJ And Greater Northern NJ
Did you know that mold can grow on almost anything? Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean that it’s not there. In fact, elevated levels of mold can cause your daily tiredness, allergies, and/or worse. If physical growth of mold is found, a musty odor is detected, or if there are health issues, it can potentially be related to mold exposure. If so, mold testing and/or a mold inspection should be conducted.
What Is Included In A Mold Inspection?
Healthy Living Mold Inspections, based in Bergen County, NJ and serving all of Northern NJ, provides mold inspection services, which can include the following:
- AIR Sampling
- In this process, we collect particulates from the air to make a comparison between indoor air and outdoor air. Using outdoor control sampling is the industry standard. This does create a baseline for pre-verse post verification, but does not evaluate the viability of the spores collected.
- SWAB Sampling
- Where visible mold is present/suspected, this swab sampling method allows the laboratory to identify and count the number of dead and/or live molds. This method does not recognize the viability of mold growth, only the presence of mold.
- Bulk Sample
- This procedure entails capturing a physical sample of material to provide the lab for testing.
- Culture Testing
- A swab sample is transferred to a dish, which is sent to the lab to grow. This allows us to find a more specific type of mold. Typically, common when a blood test is involved and a doctor is looking to find a specific source that can be causing one’s allergies and/or health issues.
The End Result Of A Mold Inspection
Mold inspection is a very detailed and critical process. By using the appropriate sampling methods noted above, Healthy Living Mold Inspections can focus on the details and factors of every possible situation that can be found and determine whether there is a presence of mold within your home or workplace.
